Hey P.

Perry is itching to get in, but Dave Carney, who managed his 2010 campaign, is temporarily occupied with the implosion of Newt Gingrich.

I don't believe that Perry will enter the race unless the clamor for him to do so gets even louder than it already is, AND Carney suddenly finds himself unemployed. Both are very likely happen.

Which translates to: let's follow this along.
