PDiddie, I'm just home and too bushed - er, strike that - I'm too tired to comment intelligently. I read some of the posting here and skimmed some of it, and as always, yearn for the day America wakes from the nightmare.
But these probes don't usually gain purchase, WB. (Forgive me: I've been watching "Deadwood".)
What good is a probe that never finds anything? Seems about as effective as a divining rod. Of course it could be that these 'probes' are all about appearing to be doing something without ever actually doing anything at all. As Seymour Hersh writes recently, there have been no less than ten government-sanctioned inquiries into detainee torture and the only thing that AG Abu Gonzales has revealed is that it was just a couple of "bad apples"; most of them women.
Ah, now I get the value of a "probe" as defined by the Bush administration: it's not the meat, it's the motion.

Ed!
Great picture of you there. Thanks for stopping by.
You need to go click on 'Prairie Weather' in my blogroll and say hi to Tartarin.
There appears to be a history of probing in the White House, thanks to Jeff Gannon or what his name is.
