'Running the Numbers' Funnies

Someone's having personal problems with arithmetic.
In this reality it's possible that we can all find a silver lining.

Personally I find it unfortunate to be living at a time when science and math and truth must be subverted to a partisan extremist agenda.
In this new world order, some re-education might be ...overdue.

It's probably too late for that, though.
So please excuse me but I just can't excited about Democrats 'fighting' for voting boundaries or 'democracy' being at stake when it got replaced by oligarchy in 1944, an unholy consortium of wildly corrupt power brokers in 1960, and fascism since 1980 (yeah, I voted for Reagan twice; blame me). Voting. Is. Not. Going. To. Fix. This.

You might remember that last week I mentioned the failure of Christians to live up to their own standards, apparently because their gods now are Trump and the GOP.
Alas! A Blog has two toons worth reposting this week. As a person who recently began on Mounjaro -- and who has been on a GLP-1 agonist before -- I understand the mental dilemma.
You might also enjoy Jim Gaffigan's take on this topic (with which I entirely sympathize).

In an interview, Peter Beinart said:
In a lot of American Jewish institutions, you get in more trouble if you question the legitimacy of the state of Israel than if you question the authority of the Torah, right? Which is just a very strange thing.

Hillel, which serves Jewish college students, basically has this statement of radical pluralism. It’s like, We don’t care if you keep kosher. We don’t care if you keep Shabbat. None of that’s important. Bring your whole self. Except if you’re anti-Zionist.
