Kings, Queens, and Guillotines Toons

"Oil prices surge on Iran attack threats". Deputy Editor of Opinion Schmendrick at the Houston Chronic: "Good news for Houston". Asst. Deputy/chief suckup Putz: "hit it out of the park"

"Love is ..." Funnies

It took a naughty but nice little rabbit to show us the way.
But some people can't see it, can't feel it. As we know.
(I think the last line says: "And fuck you too")
Early primary election voting for duopoly nominees -- in a November general election that seems tenuous at best -- begins on Tuesday, but sit those out if you want to participate in the Texas Green or Libertarian Party nominating conventions next month. Regular readers can confirm I've lost the will to believe that the old ways of doing things will be sufficient to engineer the necessary changes for the survival of life on Earth in the increasingly short term (your grandchildren's lifetime).

Nevertheless, there are still cartoons for a giggle and some snark to snipe.

Houston-area Donks had a 'Love Who You Vote For' party this weekend. I'm not getting Stephen Stills 'settling for' vibes from their intraparty skirmishing this year.

Fortunately for the Blues, the Reds have that love/hate thing going on a lot stronger.

If only an invisible force -- more a feeling, a sensation, than a person or presence -- but with retribution as sole motivation were to strike the evil-doers ...
And for the rest of February, we'll effort to focus on some better history.

"Democracy Died in Broad Daylight" Toons

The old girl passed a long time ago actually, when nearly no one except but Bruce and Carlin and Zappa were paying attention/trying to warn us. So we really can't blame her demise on either of the Jefferys, Bezos nor Epstein. They only desecrated the corpse.

"NEXT WEEK!"

Wars of Distraction Toons

T-Dog needs another one.

The only MOAB we wanted or needed.

"Next week!" Greenland, maybe Cuba, perhaps Mexico.

This week it's Iran and Minneapolis' turn.

Yes, Donald is confused but so am I. Having as much trouble keeping up with who needs attacking, re-attacking, etc. as he is.

So pardon the dystopian mess but we're a little discombobulated about whose word to take for what at the moment.

And our legacy media, among other institutions, is quite obviously not helping.
Have to publish a few more movie reviews.

Not Austin but Fort Worth and Houston: TexDonks did their part to keep Texas weird, and they're waking up this morning all giddy about their CD 18 and SD 9 special election wins yesterday.
