Gohmert for Speaker

And so it begins. Via Alan Colmes, PJ Media breaks the (Fox) news.

The Texas congressman explained that Boehner and the GOP leadership deceived the American people when they went to Obama and Pelosi to get the votes for the Cromnibus, they told the people they would fight tooth and nail against amnesty…it follows a number of years of broken promises. Gohmert also referenced the recent poll that came out showing that 60% of Republican voters and Republican leaning voters want someone other than Boehner on the job.

This is going to be so much fun.

Gohmert said that after “years of broken promises, it’s time for a change.”

And here we have all been led to believe that change was a bad thing.  Or was that hope?

Gohmert can't actually win, though, right? Sure, Boehner is horrible at his job politically (electorally, of course, he's been a huge success for the House), but Gohmer?

Incidentally, what's with the phantom h's? Both of these guys have phantom h's in their names that make me have to double check my spelling every time.

There's another announced challenger, Ted Soho (h not silent) so I suspect this is going to be the TeaPees' little form of protest. They use instant runoff voting (lowest votes fails to advance to the next round of voting) so WTWF is whether there is an actual rebel alliance that seriously wants to topple Boehner.

I don't think even House Republicans are that stupid, but we shall see.

I didn't know they used IRV! It's good enough for their own votes but not for the rest of us, huh?
